Rising Water and Flooding

Lago Vista, TX  -  The City of Lago Vista would like to encourage anyone that may be impacted by the rising water of Lake Travis to take immediate action to ensure your health and safety.

The current lake level, as of 5:00 p.m., is 698.36.

If your property is impacted by the flood and your grinder pump becomes overrun by water, the City will alert Pedernales Electric Cooperative to turn off the electric service to your property.  This action will help to ensure the safety of your property, the safety of the surrounding properties, and ensure the water quality of the lake.

There are a number of streets that have been closed to thru traffic. These streets have been closed to ensure the safety of everyone.  We discourage anyone from going around the barricades or trying to maneuver through standing water unless you are trying to get to higher ground. If you have any concerns about your street or weather conditions, please visit and sign up for notifications.

City offices will close at 6:00 p.m. today.  If you need assistance or have questions related to the flooding after that time, please call 911.  Our dispatch will work to provide answers to your questions and to assist you with your health and safety needs.

City staff will continue to monitor our roadways, storm water management system, and waterways to provide updates to our citizens.  If you feel that you are in any danger, please call 911.
