Flood Clean-Up Update
The City of Lago Vista is actively focused on the health and safety of our community and our citizens. During the flood event, we closed off several streets to keep vehicular and pedestrian traffic from entering unsafe areas.
City crews have begun the clean-up process in an attempt to open those streets which have been closed. After the debris has been removed from the street, the crews will remove the barricades and officially open the road back up for access.
The following streets are planned to be re-opened today, in sequential order:
- Constitution Square
- Cornell Cove
- Cardinal Ave (from Emerald to Canary Way)
- Robin Trail
- Emerald Rd. (from Robin Trail to Jewel Park)
- Mockingbird (north of Blue Lake Drive)
Dumpsters will remain at Blue Lake Dr., Orlando Cove, and Continental throughout the clean-up process. The City will be placing portable restrooms at each dumpster site to assist clean-up crews.
The Austin Disaster Relief Network will be providing clean-up buckets for anyone impacted by this event. These kits will be located at the Jonestown Fire Department. Beginning Tuesday, if you would like to pick up a bucket, please visit the station located at 18300 Park Drive in Jonestown. If you require temporary housing or assistance, please contact the ESD at 512.267.3586.
We will continue to provide updated information as our efforts change.
