Dial 911 for Emergency Information That Can  Help Ensure Your Health and Safety

Emergency Operations 911 v3

The City of Lago Vista would like to remind everyone that during an event, such as the current Lake Travis flooding, should you require emergency assistance of any kind, please call 911.  This emergency number is the best way to ensure that you are provided the information that you need to ensure health and safety.

The City of Lago Vista has appointed Chief Donnie Norman as our Emergency Operations Coordinator.  During an emergency event, Chief Norman directs all emergency operations through one unified operations process.  Any questions or request for assistance can be best handled by calling 911.

This flooding event is not something that our community will recover from quickly. Private properties will be damaged and public property will be damaged.  The clean-up process will include multiple agencies and require teamwork for us to recover.  However, we discourage anyone from going thru or around barricades or entering the waterways without prior authorization from Chief Norman or his designees.

Governmental agencies are prepared to handle the many needs of our community.  We are actively working daily to monitor the flood waters, check on the safety of those affected, and to prepare for the recovery and clean-up process.

Should you need assistance of any kind during this flood event, please call 911 and you will be directed to the appropriate agency or entity to assist you with your needs.
