Mount Vernon Avenue Waterline Tie-In Project Will Take Place on Wednesday, January 30th, Briefly Requiring Water Shut-Off in Some Nearby Homes
On Wednesday, January 30, 2019, the City of Lago Vista will be assisting CTX Construction with tying a new 8-inch waterline to an existing 6-inch waterline on Mount Vernon Avenue near the north entrance of The Oaks of Highland Lakes condos. The project is scheduled for 9 AM and should be completed by noon.
If the primary water isolation valves work properly, then only condo units 10 through 26 at The Oaks will be without water.
If the secondary water isolation valves need to be shut off, then the following residences will also be without water during this time.
- Units 1 through 6 at The Oaks.
- Units 27 through 54 at The Oaks.
- All houses on Mount Vernon Avenue
- All houses on Morgan Lane
- All houses on MacArthur Avenue between Boggy Ford Road and Nimitz Avenue
The utility work being constructed on Mount Vernon will result in greatly improved fire protection for all the houses in the affected work zone. City utility crews and the contractor will finish final tie-in preparations on Tuesday, and work will begin promptly at 9 AM on Wednesday.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience that you may experience during the waterline tie-in.
