Lago Vista Public Library Temporary Closing
After much consideration and consultation with Mayor Tidwell, we have decided to close the Lago Vista Public Library at 8:00 p.m. today, March 19, 2020 and will remain closed until Monday, April 6. Following the recommendation by both the American Library Association and the Texas Library Association, the difficult decision to close the library was made in order to protect the public and staff. We apologize for this inconvenience and thank the public for your understanding and patience as we all try to navigate this rapidly changing, unprecedented situation.
In an effort to assist our community, library staff will be monitoring phone calls, emails, and social media questions. At this time, patrons are asked to please hold on to library materials and book donations. No fines will be accrued during this time. As always, free digital services such as OverDrive and TexShare Databases will be available to active card members. If your card has expired, or if it is blocked for some reason, please contact us, and we will try to solve the issue for you so that you can access electronic materials.
Please visit our website and follow us on social media for information updates and for a list of free online digital services.
