Planned Water Outage Schedule for Monday, September 14
There will be a Planned Water Outage on Monday September 14.
The work being down is upgrading utilities and emergency safety systems for residents - installation of new fire hydrants and hydrant isolation valves. The benefit of installing the isolation valves is that when there is a need to work on a hydrant in the future, crews would not need to cut off water to the entire street.
Work is expected to begin on Monday at 8:00 a.m. It is currently anticipated that work should be complete by 5:00 p.m. Monday evening.
The affected areas include:
- Boone (from Burnside Circle to Burnside Circle)
- Burnside Circle
- Bacon Cove
Boone Dr will be reduced to one lane during work. Please watch for flaggers.
As a result of water utility work, residents in the immediate vicinity of the work may experience a temporary discoloration of their water. This discoloration is caused by air in the water mains and does not affect the safety of the water. If you experience this, clear air & hardness deposits in the water pipes by running your water faucets for a minute or two.
